Tim Lewis

Associate Pastor – Staff Team

Tim is married to Charis and moved with his family to Harrogate at the end of 2017. He studied theology at Nottingham University and Trinity College, Bristol before serving two Anglican churches in Bradford. Since November 2017 he has been Associate Pastor at Mowbray Community Church.

Tim loves the fusion of love for God’s Word with openness to the Holy Spirit that characterises MCC. He has not been part of a church before with such high levels of member involvement, and feels part of a genuine family. He appreciates MCC’s desire to incarnate God’s saving mission both locally and globally.

Tim is privileged to serve alongside Pastor David and the other staff members. He sees the benefits of a collegiate ministry both among the Senior Leadership Team and Ministry Operations Team. He is elder for the Youth and Children’s Ministry and Deputy Safeguarding Officer. As well as preaching and assisting with the operational tasks of MCC, Tim coordinates the Pastoral Care team. He is involved with home fellowship group organisation and oversight. Tim is part of the Men’s Ministry team which seeks to enrich friendship and fellowship among men at MCC.

Keeping twin boys under three plus a Japanese Akita fed, watered and exercised takes up most of his spare time. Days off are spent at Harlow Carr, Ripley Castle and the Stray. To relax Tim enjoys reading theology, following cricket, watching films and TV crime dramas, as well as socialising with friends over food—coming from Bradford he is a sucker for a good curry.
