Mcc 2020 vision

Purpose

Building a community of God’s people to love and to serve

Core Values

We seek to honour and bring glory to God in all that we do

We value the applied teaching of God’s word, the moving of his Spirit, and prayer

We are inclusive of differing generations, culture and theological backgrounds encouraging all people to develop in their spiritual character, calling and gifting.

We seek to be a caring church, engaging local evangelism by seeking to reach out to those in need within our community, working with other churches to serve our town, and global mission

Vision (What the church will look like in 2020)

  • MCC will be Christ-centred, developing people in Christlikeness in all relationships through prayer and teaching.
  • MCC will be worshipful at its heart, bringing glory to God.
  • MCC will be theologically balanced with life transforming teaching of God’s word by the enabling of the Spirit.
  • MCC will be missional at its core, showing Christ to the world by reaching out to the disadvantaged and being a light in the local community and further afield through missionary sending.
  • MCC will be fruitful, discipling new believers and developing people to spiritual maturity.
  • MCC will be numerically large, maximising the potential of our people and resources, attracting new people by our witness, evangelistic and community activities.
